Growing to Meet our Customers' Needs

Our 2021 acquisition of Tempel Steel allowed us to expand our sustainable mobility offerings for hybrids, electric vehicles and the industries and infrastructure needed to support them.

As a global leader in precision laminations for electric motors, transformers and generators, we work closely with our customers to meet the most exacting specifications, ensuring improved motor efficiency, accelerated product development and reduced system costs.

Tailor Welded Blanks to Optimize Product Performance

Our joint venture, TWB Company, is the largest supplier of tailored welded products in North America. Through its lightweighting solutions, TWB supports the automotive industry by delivering unmatched performance, strength and durability to meet modern fuel economy and safety requirements.

Expanding into European Markets

Our newest acquisition of a 52% controlling equity stake in Sitem Group, one of Europe’s largest producers of electric motor laminations, allows us to serve more customers in European markets and strengthens our ability to support the global automotive industry. Sitem also brings advanced tooling, automation, adhesive and die-casting capabilities.

Strong for Our Communities

Our Operating Philosophy enables us to support worthwhile community causes in the areas in which we live and work. As part of our 70th anniversary, we launched an initiative called 70 for Good – a Companywide effort to support 70 nonprofit organizations through volunteering, donation drives and other acts of service.

So far, we have supported 21 organizations—and we’re just getting started. Come back here to see our progress and visit our sustainability page to see our previous impact.
