What Is Continuous Casting?

Continuous Casting

Continuous casting is a modern steel manufacturing process in which molten steel is poured into a mold and solidified as it is continuously drawn through the casting machine, forming long steel products such as billets, blooms, or slabs. Unlike traditional casting methods, where steel is poured into individual molds and cooled in batches, continuous casting allows for a more efficient, continuous flow of steel, resulting in better quality, less waste, and increased production speeds.
