Brad Kern
Worthington Steel Company
Brad Kern is vice
president of operations for Worthington Steel. Prior to this role, Kern
served as vice president of operations support at Worthington Industries.
He began his tenure at Worthington Industries in 1990. During
his time at Worthington Industries, he spent the majority of his career in
operations, starting as a first line supervisor and working his way up to
operations manager.
Kern has also held leadership positions in five steel facilities
and has been involved in two green field startups during his career. He served
as director of steel transformation from 2019 to 2023.
Kern is a Columbus native and earned his bachelor’s degree in operations management and logistics from The Ohio State University. He has three adult children with his wife, Danielle, and lives in central Ohio.
